Big Rivers Announces New Website

The Big Rivers Forest Fire Management Compact launched a new website in the Fall of 2023. The website – https://brffmc.org – features an updated design, user experience and content. Firefighters will be able to register for the Compact’s annual Wildfire Training Academy through a link on the website. The website also includes information about the Compact’s work in training, fire prevention, fire department assistance and prescribed fire, along with an updated photo gallery.

The Big Rivers Forest Fire Management Compact is an organization of the state wildland fire agencies in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Missouri, and the U.S. Forest Service. These agencies have a common interest in providing effective wildland fire management through wildland fire training, fire prevention, suppression, interstate cooperation and the use of prescribed fire.
